  • Quiz scores and performance metrics
  • Time spent on various features
  • Feature usage patterns

2.3 Images

When you use the Snap & Solve feature, we process photographs of questions you submit. These images are:

  • Sent to our AI systems for processing
  • Stored on our servers for review in the future

2.4 Device Information

We collect device information including device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information for service optimization and security purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service: Process your questions, generate solutions, and deliver personalized learning content
  • Personalize Learning: Adapt difficulty levels and content based on your performance and progress
  • Improve Our Algorithms: Enhance our AI models and recommendation systems using aggregated, anonymized data
  • Send Progress Reports: Provide you with weekly performance summaries and insights

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate JEEVibe:

Firebase (Google)

Used for authentication, database storage, and analytics. Firebase processes data in accordance with Google's privacy policies.

OpenAI

Used for AI-powered question processing and solution generation. Image data sent to OpenAI is processed in accordance with their data usage policies and is not retained for model training.

Anthropic (Claude)

Used for AI-powered tutoring conversations and solution generation. Data sent to Anthropic is processed in accordance with their privacy policy and is not used to train their models.

Render.com

Used for backend hosting. Data is processed and stored securely on Render's infrastructure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for the following periods:

  • Account Data: Retained until you request deletion of your account
  • Usage Analytics: Anonymized after 12 months
  • Snap Images: Processed and retained according to your subscription tier (7 days for Free, unlimited for Pro/Ultra)
  • Solution History: Retained according to your subscription tier (7 days for Free, unlimited for Pro/Ultra)

6. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act and other applicable laws, you have the following rights:

6.1 Right to Access

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

6.2 Right to Correction

You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

6.3 Right to Erasure

You can request deletion of your personal data. This can be done through the app settings or by contacting us.

6.4 Right to Withdraw Consent

You can withdraw your consent to data processing at any time. Note that this may affect your ability to use certain features of the Service.

6.5 Right to Grievance Redressal

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India if you believe your rights have been violated.

7. Parental Consent for Minors

JEEVibe is designed for students preparing for JEE, many of whom are under 18 years of age. In compliance with the DPDP Act:

  • Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent before using the Service
  • Parents/guardians may verify consent via SMS or in-app verification
  • Parents/guardians can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's data at any time
  • Parents/guardians can withdraw consent at any time, which will result in account termination

8. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data:

  • Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Access Controls: Strict access controls limit who can access personal data
  • Firebase Security Rules: Database access is restricted by security rules
  • Regular Audits: We conduct periodic security reviews and assessments

Your data may be processed in countries outside India where our service providers maintain facilities (such as the United States for Firebase, OpenAI, and Anthropic services). We ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your personal data.
